Nowadays almost all countries have made a way to have your transportation fee electronically, so the transportation money card – or T-money card, is the Korean way to travel! Buy a card from any convenience store (GS, 7/11, or CU) or subway station for between 3,000 to 5,000 KRW. You can buy a personalized one with a K-pop idol or a simple one, or you can use the personalization app in Daiso to make one with your own face or favorite picture.
Don't forget to charge it at the subway station, or convenience stores with cash, ONLY, to use it everywhere you go! Just touch the card reader on the bus or subway with your T-money and you are good to go!
TIPS: you need to check your card when you enter and when you exit the transportation (bus or subway) every time!
