The Han River Swimming Pool will open on June 20th, like every year!

Seoul Hangang Han River pool in South Korea

Outdoor swimming pools may be found at six of the city's Hangang Parks locations. They are not only an excellent replacement for private facilities, but also a less expensive option thanks to careful water quality management.


The city's pools not only provide a location for individuals to cool off, but they also give residents an inexpensive summer vacation option. For the comfort of its customers, Hangang swimming pools also feature services including food booths and stores in addition to lockers, changing rooms, shower facilities, children's and kiddie pools, sunbeds, and more.


Cool summer vacation spots that are simple to reach by public transportation. Here is everything you need to know about these public swimming pools, which are the ideal locations to visit this summer.

🏖 Operating days: 2024.6.20.(Thur) ~ 8.18.(Sun)

Operating hours: 9:00 to 18:00 (※ Lunch time: 12:00 ~ 12:40, not available during lunch time)

🏖 3 water playgrounds (Jamsil, Nanji and Yanghwa) and 3 swimming pools (Ttukseom, Yeouido, Jamwon) are available.

💵 Usage fees:


Swimming Pools:

  1. 5,000 won for adults

  2. 4,000 won for teenagers

  3. 3,000 won for children

Water playground:

  1. 3,000 won for adults

  2. 2,000 won for teenagers

  3. 1,000 won for children.

*Free for children under the age of five. Proof of admission is required for free admission (photos are not allowed)


Rules:

  • You must wear a swimming cap to enter the pool.

  • The use of rubber tubes and swimming pools (flippers, snorkels, etc.) is prohibited.

  • Children and infants must be accompanied by a guardian to enter the swimming pool.

  • The youth pool is not available for infants and children (12 years old or younger), and the adult pool is not available for infants, children, or teenagers (18 years old or younger).

  • Food and beverages may be brought into the pool and water playground, but alcoholic beverages are not allowed.

  • 15-minute break every hour, unavailable during break. At the beginning of the 15-minute break, please follow the lifeguard's guidance and move out of the pool.

  • Not accessible for 1 hour during lunch (lunch time varies from swimming pool to swimming pool)

※Gwangnaru Swimming Pool: Scheduled to open in 2026 after reconstruction (2024.3.~2025.12.)


1. Nanji Water Park 난지 물놀이장

Nanji Water Park is built to look like a performance hall, unlike other common swimming pools. Additionally, to give the illusion of an infinite pool, the pool's exterior edge is placed up against the Hangang River. With a maximum depth of 0.8 meters, this pool is ideal for families with young children.

2. Ttukseom Swimming Pool 뚝섬 수영장


Ttukseom Swimming Pool is conveniently placed close to a metro station and offers a 4 m deep aqua ring pool with a variety of sprinklers to beat the summer heat.

3. Yanghwa Water Park 양화 물놀이장

Featuring pools structured like streams, Yanghwa Water Park is a water park and playground overlooking Hangang River. Featuring a separate area for sunbeds and tents, this place also has various food booths selling cup ramen, tteokbokki, chicken, hot dog, kimbab, and sundae.

4. Yeouido Swimming Pool 여의도수영장


The Yeouido Swimming Pool includes separate tanning areas for adults, kids, and teenagers.

5. Jamwon Swimming Pool 잠원 수영장

All ages can enjoy Jamwon Swimming Pool, which has both an adult and a children's pool. The pool is surrounded by numerous umbrellas and food stands, making it a well-liked resting place for tourists.

6. Jamsil natural water park 잠실 자연형 물놀이장

Jamsil natural water park 잠실 자연형 물놀이장

The existing aging Jamsil Swimming Pool was reorganized into a ‘natural water park’ that can be used all year round.

Natural mooring facilities (relax while soaking your feet and taking a foot bath)

- Utilize non-artificial natural materials

- 18 types of trees and plants planted in 50% of the total area

Children (6 to 12 years old) 1,000 won

Youth (13 to 18 years old) 2,000 won

Free for children up to 5 years old (must bring physical proof (no photos allowed))


[Waterpark facilities]

- Wonder Pool: Infinity Wall (maximum depth of 1m)

- Joy Pool: Taking advantage of changes in topography, it gets deeper towards the center (maximum depth of 60cm)

- Kiddie pool: shallow water for children

- Natural mountain stream: Foot bath (April to October, Tuesday to Sunday, 12:00 to 18:00)

- Sand playground, grass rest area, forest trail

- Waterway: You can take a walk among beautiful lights even at night
