
On February 24, 2025 at 14:00, the e-Arrival card will be made available.
Instead of giving the immigration officer a physical copy of your entry declaration form, you can now fill it out online and submit it ahead of time.
(However, you have the option to utilize either the paper or electronic form, as physical forms will be available until December 2025).
Accessible from three days before arrival at www.e-arrivalcard.go.kr (available on both web and mobile).
The E-Arrival Card: What is it?
Currently necessary for foreign visitors, the E-Arrival Card is a computerized counterpart of the paper arrival card. In place of handwritten forms upon arrival in South Korea, it must be filled out online prior to travel.
Who Must Complete It?
The entry declaration form, also known as an e-Arrival card, must be submitted by every foreign national entering the Republic of Korea.
The following are the exclusions:
Korean citizens who are officially registered (including those with a permanent residency card and Holders of Korean Resident Cards Abroad
Holders of valid K-ETA approvals
Crew members of airlines, etc.
How the E-Arrival Card Application Process Works
The E-Arrival Card is easy to complete and needs to be completed prior to your journey to South Korea:
1. Go to www.e-arrivalcard.go.kr/, the Korea Immigration Service's official website.
2. Please have your passport ready, along with your trip information, including your flight (ship) number, residence address and contact details (accommodation), and email address.
3. The form can be turned in up to three days before to your arrival in Korea (KST). Should you fail to arrive in Korea within 72 hours, your e-Arrival card will expire and you will have to fill out and submit a new one.
Declaration fee
The service for the e-Arrival card is free.
After submitting the e-Arrival card, do I still require approval?
No additional approval is needed; the declaration will be handled as supplied after it is submitted.
Is it possible to submit declarations for more than one person at once?
You can add more travelers to submit separate declarations for up to nine persons. Please use the group declarations function on the PC website if there are ten or more people.
Should I bring a printout of my e-Arrival card with me?
For the purpose of entry inspection, you are not obliged to retain a PDF file or a paper copy of your e-Arrival card.
How to upload a picture from your passport
A photo of your passport, including your face and personal details, must be uploaded. You can also manually enter your personal information if you find this challenging.
For children younger than 14
A family member or another individual must make the statement on behalf of minors under the age of fourteen.
Do I need to submit the e-Arrival card myself?
You can have someone else submit the declaration for you if you want. However, the information will be considered as if provided by that who completed.
