Allimi Day

★★★ Korea Allimi Special Article - 대한민국 알리미 특별 조항 ★★★

The Seoul Foundation of Women & Families' International Conference Hall hosted Allimi Day last week on August 28! The event was divided into two parts: a quiz in which we had to answer questions about Korea, and a second portion in which we were divided into teams and played various games.

First we were divided into teams, each had 4-5 members and we had to accumulate more balls, which counted as points with our names on them. More balls meant more chances to win a nice prize at the finish.

During the Golden Bell time we have learned a lot of new information about Korean culture, language, history and even politics. I think these type of events are promoting and teaching foreigners more about Korea in a fun and educative way.

The sports part, was actually even more fun, we played a new type of "Red light, Green light", where we had to also pop balloons. Then we played "find the chairs", and we were blindfolded as well. And lastly the mime was my favorite. I love playing this games!

At the end, a travel bag was given away as well as several other prizes via a lottery method. There were several nice prizes and of course all with the help of MOFA.

I was left with a nice T-shirt, a cute pouch and a coffee machine that I won. I made memories and met lots of new people. These events are always the best!

The #ENDviolence Campaign, created by the Public Diplomacy and Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Korea, and UNICEF, was also promoted during the event. By ending violence against children, the #ENDviolence Campaign with UNICEF supports child safety.
